Reading some of the assigned articles to support our capstone video was helpful. I like how the article from "Psychology Today" said that the brain is an image processor, it can remember images because they are more concrete. Words are abstract and harder to retain, which explains why I forget peoples' names quickly, but I never forget a face (most of the time).

I totally feel ya on how to sort out all of the "junk" that is currently in our brains to create the best capstone video we can possible make! Crazy right? I haven't begun creating my video, but I know I will sometime today (Saturday) or tomorrow. But one thing I have done and maybe you might want to try if you haven't is create your script for your video and then go from there. Maybe with that you can feel more confident in what visuals to choose for your video. Just a suggestion but have fun with it! :-)

You read my mind. How did you know I too have too many things in my head "junk" that I need to filter and figure out what is important and what is just "fluff". Also just like in the other article we read in 703 class about the importance of video in the classroom, I too believe that images can say a "1000 words" and make a long lasting impression. Especially in today's 21st century where our students are more digital natives than us, images would probably work better than just words alone.

Your question at the end made me laugh out loud. I can relate to your feeling. Even as I continue to sort through all the content and ideas I still have new ideas or changes that come to mind. It's difficult to choose what will make the video most effective and get the message across. I think we have a lot of great resources, now it's just a matter of putting it together. I just hope hope to finish on time.
